Once you have considered it, then proceed to knowing the different mountains available, and then choose. Some often engage professional advice on this. Now having done all that, how about taking the excitement to another level: dare your guts to ascend to the apex of that famous mountain you have heard about in your country!

Wait! before you hop off with excitement, you need to prepare so you don't miss out on the essentials and your safety. The tips below brings them home:

  1. Begin with a great and nutritious breakfast, that provides that balanced diet. By having a healthy first meal for theday,  youwould have set out well with the right amount of energy-giving carbohydrates needed for a good climb. And yes! you will do well to also add oats or rice to your pack.
  1. Verify with the weather man about the day's weather. If you are in the Philippines, the right authority to ask about weather updates is the PAG-ASA or the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration. Websites, TV, radio and the social media is another great place to verify the day's weather. Take advantage of them. Should the weather reports be negative, please cancel and sit back. The adventure can wait for another day, not that the mountains would move anyways.
  1. Take along withyoutools that can help in navigating. Should you find yourself in an unfamiliar terrain, a map, a compass, and a guidebook would be of great help to you and your team. It is important you prepare adequately enough, what this does is that it takes worries off your mind and keeps you focused on the task of climbing.
  1. Notify your loved ones about your adventure and when they should possibly expect your return. Should there be any uncomfortable extension to your return time, your family might then report to the appropriate authorities early enough. One can't be too careful with safety.
